Vintage Reuge Handmade Hexagon Music Box Wood Inlay -working

  

Beautiful flower marquetry adorns the cover of this REUGE musical jewelry box. It is large, measuring 9 inches at its widest. It is a very unusual hexagon shape with six pointed shapes circling the bottom layer. Lifting the lid starts the music and reveals a mirror and a red velvet lined place for treasures.

The covering of the music box mechanism is not glued down in case you want to access it. Condition is very good and the velvet is really clean. The lacquer coat is not chipped or cracked. I don't recognize the song but it plays nicely.
