Vintage REUGE Grand Piano Music Box Wood Mosaic Jewelry Box Swiss Music Casket

  

Here is the link to the video on youtube. These music boxes are from my personal collection. These are self-playing musical mechanisms, mechanical rarities. This Italian music box in the form of a piano is from about the 1980s. Decorated in the wood mosaic technique - a detailed picture of a bouquet of flowers and twigs with foliage, lined with wood - completely handmade.

Swiss bronze mechanism REUGE adjusted, configured - everything works fine! Wind-up music box -so, it works without batteries. After the winding up with the opening of the piano - a pleasant tune plays I Could Have Danced All Night. All casket is made of wood.

The box is in good vintage condition. There is one issue -tiny dent in wood inside the box in the wooden trim (near the mechanism) - please, watch the photos carefully. Keep the casket away from direct sunlight. To clean the surface, you should use only a soft cloth with a "soft" glass / mirror cleaning agent. Can be polished with furniture polish. Keep away from stoves and heaters to avoid cracks on the surface of varnish and wood. Do not wind up too tight.

Quality Italian: real wood mosaic on top, quality Swiss movement, vintage item - it smells like vintage item. San Francisco Music Boxes: usually it is more lower grade music movement or even Swiss, but with plastic in gear. It might be new or vintage. Mosaic on top could be real from wood or the mosaic drawing are just burned out on wood top. In my box mosaic is from wood and also there are burning at edges for more beauty - so, my box is vintage but not very old. China also made such boxes - they have only paint on top - so flowers are just painted on. And NOT Swiss music movement.
