Vintage ISRAEL REUGE Wood Jewelry Music Box Independence Day Parade Zahal IDF

  
In front of us is a jewelry box combined with a musical mechanism made in Reuge Switzerland from the middle of the 20th century approximately. The box is covered in the upper part (lid) with a paper wrapper with a photograph of the Independence Day parade of IDF soldiers against the background of the crowd sitting in the tirovonas and the flying Israeli flags.

The musical mechanism plays the famous melody of'Jerusalem of Gold' and hence we can conclude that this box was produced just after the six days (approximately 1967-8). The playing mechanism is in working order, a little fake but normal. The box has wear, mainly to the paper wrapping: scratches and slight abrasions, mainly near the two areas of the longitudinal margins. 4 legs are missing from the bottom of the box. Dimensions: 16.5X9.7X5 cm.
