Swiss Thorens Music Box 2 Tune Wind up Inlaid Wood Shield VG Condition Vintage
A Swiss-made Thorens music box with the beautiful, clear, bell-like tones that Thorens movements are known for. It plays 2 tunes, "Il Trovatore" and the Waltz from "Faust".
The movement is marked Made in Switzerland Thorens. The wood box features an inlaid shield on the top and the original label inside (also marked Made in Switzerland). It is in excellent condition with a bright, clean movement and a couple of very tiny scrapes on the glossy box.
About 5 ½ x 3 ½ x 2 5/8 inches. One end of the frame lifts out so the glass can be removed for cleaning if necessary. (see photo) No damage to the glass.
