Reuge Swiss Movement Music Trinket Box - Signed by Artist - Handcrafted in Sorrento, Italy - Octogon Shape, Bulbous Body and Hinged Lid. Comes with Metal Lock and Key. Exterior shows beautiful marquetry inlay in special burled grain wood. Has an ornate metal keyhole lock with a tassled metal key. The interior is lined in a red flocked velvet. Hand signed by an Italian artist.

Original labels/brand marks are on the bottom. Feet, keyhole, hinges, and key are gold toned color. Key and Sorrento maker's card are tucked inside.

This lovely handmade box has a special feature. It's called "Filetto Border".

It is a extremely skillful threading procedure used to create the inlaid border. This feature is not easy for woodcrafters to create. Even master woodcrafters find this a challenging task. This gorgeous handmade lacquered music box is signed by the artist on the underside and plays a song titled, "Waltz of the Flowers". 7-3/4" long by 7-3/4" wide (or 8"x 8" from points) by approx.
