ERZGEBIRGE Wendt Kuhn THORENS Music Box Nursery Carved Wood East Germany BOX
For your consideration is this beautiful vintage Music Box from Germany. It is an unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted. It features a house with a girl watching over a baby in her crib. This lovely item was made in the Erzgebirge region in the former East Germany by the famous company "Wendt & Kuhn". The musical movement is a swiss THORENS movement. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: "Brahms' Lullaby".
To wind it up, just turn the key on the side clockwise. There is a working stopper on the side, too. This music box can be placed on the table for display or mount on the wall (nice in the baby's room). The music box is in excellent condition and complete. There are only very few spots where the paint is missing.
Please look at all pictures and zoom in. It measures about 7 3/4" tall, 4 1/2" wide and 3 1/2 deep. Comes from a clean and smoke free home. Please ask, if you have any questions about this item!
