ERZGEBIRGE Wendt Kuhn THORENS Music Box Angel Orchestra Carved Wood Germany

  
This is a vintage item, NOT NEW and not perfect. It is a unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted. It features an angel orchestra with conductor. This beautifully detailed music box was made in the Erzgebirge region in the former East Germany by the famous company "Wendt & Kuhn". When the music plays, the conductor in the middle rotates. The musical movement is a swiss THORENS movement. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: "Silent night". To wind it up, just turn the key on the side clockwise.

There is a working stopper on the side, too. The music box is in great condition, but there are several spots where the paint is missing, also the violinist' s right arm has been repaired and one of the 8 yellow feet is missing. Other than that, it is.

Please look at all pictures and zoom in. Dates to the 1980s and is marked with the Erzgebirge/expertic label from that time period. It measures 7" tall and 6" wide.
