For your consideration is this lovely vintage Music Box from Germany. It is an unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted. It features a dark blue globe with stars and five musical angels, sitting in half moons. This beautifully detailed music box was made in the Erzgebirge region in the former East Germany by the famous company "Wendt & Kuhn". When the music is playing, the pole with the angels rotates.

The musical movement is a swiss THORENS movement. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: "Oh you Joyful". To wind it up, just turn the key on the side clockwise. To start the music, push the lever on the side to the right. The music box is in great condition and complete, apart from one pig tail missing.

The paint is in really good shape, apart from a couple paint chips on the angels and pole and the brass ring shows a few dark spots. There is also a wood chip see pic. The flute player and singer are original, the other 3 angels are newer. Please look at all pictures and zoom in. The lid is missing, though and it has seen better days.

The music box measures about 11" tall and 5 1/2" wide. Comes from a clean and smoke free home.
