ERZGEBIRGE Wendt Kuhn REUGE Music Box Angel Organ Carved Wood Germany

  
For your consideration is this beautiful Music Box from the Erzgebirge region in Germany. It is an unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted. It features an angel playing the pipe organ and 2 angels above are playing the fanfare to it. This lovely detailed music box was made by the famous company "Wendt & Kuhn". The musical movement is a swiss REUGE Romance movement. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: "Silent Night". To wind it up, just turn the key on the back clockwise. There is a working stopper on the back, too.

The music box is in excellent condition. There is only one flaw to mention: one tiny paint chip on the angel's blue wing (see last pic). Otherwise this beauty is in.

Dates to the 1990s and is marked with the round W&K. It measures 6" tall, 4 1/4" wide and 3 3/4 deep, which is slightly larger than older ones.
