ERZGEBIRGE Wendt Kuhn REUGE Music Box Angel Organ Carved Wood Germany

  

For your consideration is this beautiful Music Box from Germany. It is an unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted.

It features an angel playing the pipe organ and 2 angels above are playing the fanfare to it. This lovely detailed music box was made in the Erzgebirge region in the former East Germany by the famous company "Wendt & Kuhn". The musical movement is a swiss REUGE movement.

The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: "Silent Night". To wind it up, just turn the key on the back clockwise. There is a working stopper on the back, too. The music box is in excellent condition. There are only two tiny paint chips to mention: one on the crown on top and one on the roof corner.

Otherwise this beauty is in. Dates to the late 1980s and is marked with the round Erzgebirge/expertic.

It measures 5 3/4" tall, 4" wide and 3 1/2 deep. Comes from a clean and smoke free home.
