For your consideration is this beautiful Music Box from Germany. It is an unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted. It features an angel playing the pipe organ and 2 angels above are playing the fanfare to it. This lovely detailed music box was made in the Erzgebirge region in the former East Germany by the famous company "Wendt & Kuhn". The musical movement is a swiss THORENS.

The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: "Oh you Joyful". To wind it up, just turn the key on the back clockwise. There is a working stopper on the back, too. The music box is in excellent condition, complete and only shows very few areas where the paint is missing, like around the key in the back. Please look at all pictures and zoom in.

Dates to the early 1980s. Marked with the red Erzgebirge label from that time period. Comes with a box that fits, but does not seem to be original. It measures about 6" tall and 4" wide and 3 1/2 deep. Comes from a clean and smoke free home.
