Circa 1900 Musical Box With 6 Airs
Circa 1900 Musical Box With 6 Airs. The musical airs are'It's A Great Big Shame','Sweet Little Rosey-Posey','At My Time Of Life','Darling Mabel','I Went To Paris With Papa' and'Arrah Go On'. These are listed in paper on the inner lid. The case is of stained mahogany with a gilt stencil to the top and it has its original key to the front lock. The movement is of brass and steel with a winding leaver to the left and two stitches to the right, one for'repeat/change' and the other for'stop/play'.
The original instruction leaflet is included. Please refer to the images for the condition. The case has some wear including a resin repair to one corner.
It is in perfect mechanical working order and has a has a harmonious tone. The case is 35 cm (13.75 inches) wide, 15 cm (6 inches) deep and 12 cm (4.5 inches) tall.
