THIS IS A HAND CARVED BLACK FOREST PIECE FROM GERMANY. SAID SHE WAS 89 AND HER MOTHER AND FATHER BROUGHT IT FROM GERMANY IN 1901. I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE BUT HAVE A TENDENCY TO BELIEVE THE LITTLE LADY DID. THE SWISS MUSIC BOX MAY HAVE BEEN ADDED LATER AND PLAYS BRAHMS WIEGENLIAD. THE HARNESS LINES ONCE HAD A COATING AND MOST OF THAT HAS COME OFF - SOME OF THE HARNESS LOOKS OLD BUT IS STILL IN GOOD SHAPE.

THE PIECE IS 21 6/8" LONG AND 4 3/4" WIDE. WILL LOOK REALLY NICE WIPED WITH SOME FURNITURE POLISH.

WE ARE UNSURE WHAT KIND OF WAGON THE TEAM IS HAULING, BUT APPEARS TO BE A LARGE TANK OF SOME KIND.
