It is in very good antique condition and the only damage I have seen is that his right ear has been mended at some stage. Please study the attached photos carefully to determine the condition for yourself as these form a major part of the description. I believe that this stunning item was carved in BRIENZ, Switzerland by one of the best bear carvers, SEILAR-BRAVANT around 1900.

The music box is activated by winding and starts playing when the decanter is removed from the tree stump. The mechanism works and plays but sounds a bit clonky and would probably benefit from some attention. I decided to leave it alone for someone who knows what they're doing! I do not recognise the tune.

It measures 36cms tall x 20cms front to back x 19cms across widest part.
