Vintage Thorens AD-30 Disc Music Box in Walnut Wood Case Plus 7 Discs

  

This is a beautiful THORENS Model AD-30 musical movement music box that plays 4.5 metal discs. It was manufactured in Switzerland by the Thorens company which has made Swiss Music boxes for years. The music box plays 4.5 discs which are readily available for sale online. The beautiful hardwood walnut box is in excellent condition with no cracks, and the hinged lid works perfectly. There is an elegant metal picture on the underside of the lid with a picture of a small village in.

Measures approximately 11" long, 6" tall and 7 wide. The Thorens mechanism plays fine, all teeth are in good condition on the comb, and the key wound motor runs smooth and strong through the disc. The mechanism has an auto stop feature and when it reaches the end of the disc the motor stops. Included are 7 Thorens excellent like new disc as pictured.
