Nicole Freres Forte Piano music box. Please look closely, its never been restored, the 17.5 inch cylinder and comb are in great shape with no damage or past repairs to these crucial parts, though the spring barrel had a virtually invisible tidy up after the spring went in the 70s.
It plays 8 bright and lively light opera/ classic music airs. With 6 being beautifully arranged pieces by Verdi. The case lid has a slight warp, and has had a small repair long ago, though you wouldnt know, but mentioned for transparency. This box was bought from the private collection of a musical box academic 20 years ago and has been in my private collection since.
