For your consideration is this lovely vintage Music Box from Germany. It is an unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted. It features a dark blue globe with stars and five musical angels, sitting in half moons. This beautifully detailed music box was made in the Erzgebirge region in the former East Germany by the famous company "Wendt & Kuhn".

When the music is playing, the inner pole with the angels is rotating. The musical movement is a swiss THORENS movement. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: "Ihr Kinderlein kommet".

To wind it up, just turn the key on the side clockwise. There is a working stopper on the side, too.

The music box is complete and in excellent condition. The star on top is a little bend, though. Also the paint on the pole is chipping in a couple spots.

Dates to the 1970s and is marked with the white and. It measures almost 11" tall and the brass ring is 5 1/2" wide. Comes from a clean and smoke free home. Please ask, if you have any questions about this item!
